As the Earth orbits around the sun we turn our pages on the calendar. Depending upon the exact longitude and latitude, the SUN SIGNS rotate as well, so that approximately the third week of each month we enter a new Astrological sign and constellation.

ARIES the Ram. March 20/21 to April 20. The planet Mars guides Aries.

Lu lu skip to my lu…

  • Mars is aggressive, assertive, too. Mars is physical energy and looks great in a bathing suit or in sweaty  running shorts.
  • Mars has lightening thoughts or tactless quicksand for brains. That depends upon how much sex has been had or who has been had.
  • Mars is whom I take to the circus and the amusement park, but not skydiving…are you out of your mind? I’d get pushed beyond my limits!
  • Mars can go to the mat with the Sun and win. What a headstrong sunofabitch.
  • Mars has wit that’s contagious and sometimes aspiration that’s infectious. If you don’t watch yourself, you could catch something.
  • Mars shares everything quickly, including that spontaneous combustion called anger. If Mars is pent up, uh oh. Mars acts passively and aggressively.
  • Mars invented Tae bo sideswiping.
  • Mars gives and gives and does and does until it hits a brick wall, then scratches it’s head and wonders why it has a headache.

When reading the following, keep in mind that you are a lovely mix of MUNDANE and ESOTERIC.

ARIES are such fun! They love the adventure of life, care tremendously for friends and family, have spontaneous genius thoughts and bursts of emotions. Their thoughts are like a laser stream of energy. Careful not to interrupt an Aries in midstream, though!

MUNDANE Aries is one big temper tantrum waiting to happen. They interrupt everyone, are insecure beyond belief, and have to have everything the moment they think of it. They are immature in relationships and avoid the truth. Conversation means confrontation to an Aries. They often become addicted to sex, drugs, nicotine or alcohol to numb their fiery nature. They don’t know when to stop lusting or being melodramatic. They don’t know how to listen! They’ll climb over people to get what they want. I wonder if mundane Aries are often involved in domestic disputes?

ESOTERIC Aries love to solve problems. They’re inventive and quite creative in the artistic sense, too. They’ll go to great lengths to serve and protect any and all in need. They know how to care for all living creatures and are quite affectionate. They have a way of making sense of nonsense. They act first and ask for forgiveness later. Aren’t they funny? Their thoughts work faster than any other sign and this is why they don’t often listen—they’re too busy solving life’s problems. They help others get beyond their fears by teaching spontaneity and laughter. This reminds us all of the joy of BEING and the power of creation! They know how to organize appropriate groups of people to initiate healthy change for the world. They can eat all the chocolate they want and never gain an ounce or develop cavities! (How the hell do they do that?)

When Aries is on the rise, the energy of the planet MARS guides the general theme of a person’s astrological chart.

ARIES RISING Signs are stubborn and head-strong! They can have blood, head, or eye trouble or mishaps if they’re not channeling their energy with love and proper intention.

Aries Rising is so ahead of their time that they sometimes cannot handle the pace of life (or more to point, how slow everyone else is). Many Aries Rising signs wind up having to take some sort of medication to help them cope with the pressures of life…nicotine, alcohol, prescribed tranquilizers. Prescribed meds, under a doctor’s care is not necessarily a bad thing. It can help them organize a PLAN of action before acting, as long as they create that plan.

The irony is that these Rising signs are the ones who create a hectic lifestyle and then have trouble meeting their own standards for living. Aries Rising can be very judgmental about how life ought to be lived, and at what pace because they’re so ready to take up the ’cause’. This makes the idea of compromise a self-inflicted competition that’s never won. Crazy circle huh? As a result, this Rising sign becomes disorganized and creates half-baked ideas that fizzle out quickly.

Many of these Rising signs have anger related to authority that usually becomes a temper tantrum and that temper tantrum turns into a combative attitude which results in lots of arguments with authority figures: doctors, police, and people in charge. They might act out passive aggressively to often challenge authority.

Unfortunately, they’re rarin’-to-go vibe clashes with metal. Many have at least one car accident in their life or one form of surgery or one major illness that’s a marker of a ‘wake-up’ call to their anger and impatience.

In romance, they can be impatient to be in love and either look for a parent in a mate or to parent a mate. In either case they jump head first and this might leave them feeling unfulfilled in life with only surface relationships. When they’re able to see that they can have a healthy relationship by pacing their involvement (listening well, not parenting but rather supporting, setting healthy boundaries) and most importantly BY BEING PRESENT WITH WHAT THEIR NEEDS ARE AND WITH WHAT’S BEING PRESENTED TO THEM, they’ll see the truth in their current situation.

In forcing an issue, they most times push themselves and others into partnerships that need more nurturing to grow to potential. Integrating BOUNDARIES into their daily practice is key.

Aries Rising signs, on the other hand, feel so much childlike admiration for those in need and love to be of service. They’re creative very nurturing. These folks make great cheerleaders of life and become the soccer moms, car-pooling dads, and group organizers in business or fund-raisers for those less fortunate due to disasters.

The brightness of mind brings lots of innovation to the table in any business. This Rising Sign is a CREATOR and can sing, dance, act, and tell it like it is with an uncomplicated wit, amusing demeanor, and childlike charm.

Even when rallying for a political position, Aries Rising sign does so with committed enthusiasm. This person is looking to play with anyone else who’s fair and fun. They’re looking to make change happen or to tell a story that evokes pathos and reality all mixed into one. It’s amazing how little sleep this Rising sign needs. BUT THEY DO NEED TO SLEEP AND CARE FOR THEIR ADRENALS.

Their main cause in life is to get something done and then get something else done as soon as possible and can channel a great deal of energy through their body to help others.

The Health and true test for any Aries Rising sign is to be connected to their body and to not override their own needs. Simple tasks each day that encourage this person to be as present as possible with their body and spirit, bring an alignment with Spirit.
